Q: Will Karaoke CD+G discs play in my DVD Karaoke player?

A: No. Well actually yes (but not correctly).
A CD+G disc will play the music on a DVD karaoke player, but no words will be displayed.
This is because the 'G' part of a CD+G is the graphics layer which only works on dedicated karaoke CD+G players.
ALSO, some karaoke players are also combination CD+G and DVD karaoke players. These types of players will play both discs correctly. They will be clearly marked on the karaoke player that they can play both CD+G and DVD formats.

A: No. karaoke DVD and karaoke CD+G discs are different formats. They will only play in the same karaoke player if it is a combination DVD and CD+G karaoke player. The only discs that will work in a CD+G karaoke player are CD+G discs (also known as CDG, CD G or anything like that).

The problem of course is that there are no microphone inputs or echo and volume controls for the microphones. Karaoke DVD players add that functionality.

Q: What are Zoom, Disney, Easy Karaoke, Mr Entertainer and Sunfly?

A: The above names are manufacturers of discs. They are not a particular format of discs. There are many manufacturers of karaoke discs; all of varying quality. We have chosen five of the top manufacturers to work with who have been in the Karaoke business for many years and offer very good sound reproduction.

Q: What are your delivery times?

A: We hold practically all our discs in stock and generally despatch the same day as you order. All our products are sent 1st class Royal Mail for UK (generally 1-2 working days) and Air Mail for Europe post (generally 3-4 working days). It is not uncommon for our customers to place there order in the afternoon of one day, and to receive it in the post the next morning.

Q: Are your discs performed by the original artists?

A: No. There are very few karaoke discs being performed by the original artists because of royalties and music copyright, etc. that would have to be paid.
This is where the quality of the karaoke disc manufacturer comes into play. The manufacturers' discs that we sell have invested much time and money in ensuring that their tracks are of the highest standard and as close to the original as possible.

Q: Do your karaoke CD+G discs have guide vocals?

A: About 99% of our CD+G discs do not have guide vocals. There are a few, like the Disney range for example. If they do have with and without guide vocals, the disc will say so in the description.

Q: Are you able to send me a printed brochure of your discs available?

A: Unfortunately not. We are generally adding around 5 or 6 new discs each month to our range. This means that the printing of brochures would be a costly and never ending process as they are out of date within a week. There is a good search facility on our site for finding particular tracks and artists, and we are more than welcome to answer any emails you have on particular tracks.
